NCDC celebrates 74th Corps Day | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Feb 1: The Army's Northern Command Dental Corps (NCDC) celebrated its 74th Corps Day at Udhampur here today. According to press release, the event was marked by Barakhana and Pagal Gymkhana in Command Medical Dental Centre (CMDC), Northern Command. All ranks and their families enthusiastically took part in the same. The celebrations were the culmination of many public health care events, conducted in the run up to raising day. Lt Gen DS Hooda, GOC-in-C (Army Commander), Northern Command extended his warm greetings and good wishes to all ranks of the AD Corps for maintaining high standard of patient care in the Northern Command zone. Maj Gen SPS Kochar MG (Medical), HQ Northern Command extended his best wishes on the occasion to all ranks of AD Corps, their civilian employees and their families and complemented them for their dedication and constant endeavours in embracing advances in technology and innovative ways to carry dental care to the last soldier deployed on the borders by the Corps. While the history of dentistry in Indian armed forces goes back to 1st world war, it was on 01 Feb 1941 that the Army Dental Corps came into existence. Since then the Corps has thrived to reach newer goals in providing the best possible dental care to the troops of the Indian army. The AD Corps Motto of "Reach the Soldier" emphasizes its commitment to the well being of the soldiers in war and peace irrespective of terrain, weather and location. |
