Kundan Kashmiri expresses anger over Union government | Asks J&K govt to study interlocutors report, comment for further action | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 14: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) Chief Kundan Kashmiri expressed his anger and anguish over BJP Government at the centre asked the newly formed J&K state Government to study the three and half years old interlocutors report on J&K to offer its views and comments for further action by the centre Government at New Delhi. According to press release, Kundan addressing the core group members of his organization today at New Delhi stated that it is most surprising for nationalist forces to see RSS endorsing the formation of BJP-PDP Govt in the J&K state. "The agreements they reached to, when they have failed Kashmiri Pandits and other nationalist forces in the state and also their double standard on Article 370, as BJP has recently said in parliament that Article 370 is bridge between state of J&K and rest of India while as RSS yesterday (march 13,2015) in their three days meet at Nagpur has said that it would not dilute its stand on Article 370, perhaps keeping an eye on the coming elections in UP and Bihar", he said. He said this development is serious and significant as this report has some drastic suggestions like(1) deleting the word "temporary" from the heading of Article 370 and replacing it with the word "special"(2) setting up a constitutional committee to review case by case all central Acts and Articles of the constitution of India extended to the state of J&K after signing of the 1952 Agreement (3) Amendment of Public safety act and review of AFSPA law.(4) Talks with Hurriyat to be initiated by the centre(5) This report also recommended three regional councils to be created for Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh ( completely ignored KP,s) (6) For KP,s they have recommended for their return to Kashmir valley and to make part of state policy.(7) To make the LOC irrelevant and symbol of concord and cooperation. He further said that showing POK as part of rough country Pakistan in a map highlighted in the News paper of RSS 'organiser' a few days back is most un-fortunate which has hurt the nationalist forces in general, Kashmiri Pandits and KPC in particular. |
