Alliance partners indulging in dramatics, tantrums to hoodwink gullible voters: Harsh | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 14: JKNPP Chairman Harsh Dev Singh today accused the coalition partners of indulging in tantrums and dramatics merely with the objective of addressing their respective political constituencies. Questioning the rationale behind issuance of the said GAD's order mandating the use of state flag in all offices and buildings housing the constitutional authorities including the vehicles of such authorities along with the National flag, Singh observed that the said provisions already existed in law. He further said that the constitution of J&K besides other state laws explicitly and in very unambiguous terms provided for a separate state flag. J&K constitution which governs the functioning of the state categorically provides in Sec 144 that the "Flag of the state shall be rectangular in shape and red in colour with three equidistant white vertical stripes of equal width next to the staff and a white plough in the middle with handle facing the strips. Rebuking the alliance partners for indulging in theatrics rather than governance, he said that scoring of political brownie points seems to be the only agenda of the present coalition with an immensely dwarfed BJP making vain and unsuccessful attempts to clear its position and justify its adulterous relationship with PDP. Accusing the BJP of exploiting people's gullibility, he said that the Saffron party had given high pitched slogans and seduced hordes of passionate volunteers only to surrender at the end for sharing the crumbs of power. Harsh Dev Singh further lambasted the BJP-RSS combine for the highly obnoxious map depicted in 'organizer', the mouth piece of RSS which shows large parts of J&K State in Pakistan. He wondered how the BJP-RSS combine which has always been vociferous and at the forefront of protests against all magazines which showed Kashmir as disputed, has maintained silence over this grave act of sedition. He reminded the Saffron party that under Indian laws publication of maps depicting inaccurate external boundaries of India is a cognizable offence with imprisonment for a term which could extend to three years. |
