Kishtwar, Mar 14 : A National Lok Adalat for Revenue cases and MGNREGA cases was today organized at District Court Complex Kishtwar under the Chairmanship of Bala Jyoti Principal District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar.
In the said National Lok Adalat cases of Land Revenue Act, Appeals, Land Acquisition Act, Cases U/S 107 Cr.PC and cases pertaining to MGNREGA were referred before the Benches. Four Benches were constituted to deal with huge number of cases referred before the Benches by the Revenue Courts and Rural Development Department. Large number of people and more than 600 litigants were present in the said Lok Adalat. DC Kishtwar who is Collector under the Act, SP Kishtwar, ACD Kishtwar, Tehsildar Kishtwar, Judicial Officers, ALC Kishtwar, BDOs, prominent citizens and staff members actively participated. Two Special Benches to deal with MGNREGA cases were constituted,wherein huge number of cases were settled. While speaking on the occasion Jyoti apprised the general Public and litigants about concepts of Lok Adalat and their benefits to the litigants,whose cases are pending for last so many years due to cumbersome procedure. |
