Dr Abid Hamid Dar awarded state S&T, young scientist award 3/15/2015 11:26:24 PM Jammu, Mar 15: Governor N. N. Vohra presented State, Science & Technology-Young Scientist Award in Life Sciences to Dr. Abid Hamid Dar; Senior faculty at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu yesterday on the occasion of 10th Jammu & Kashmir Science Congress at University of Jammu. The exemplary research of Dr. Abid Hamid Dar in "Cancer Epigenetics" bears great potential and impact in understanding cancer by utilizing it for diagnostic & therapeutic aspects of various malignancies. Dr. Abid has qualified CSIR-UGC (NET) JRF and GATE fellowships and did Ph.D. from prestigious PGIMER Chandigarh in "Exceptional" category. The research work in cancer epigenetics and treatment has been recognized by the prestigious forums by awarding him NIH, BOYSCAST and Indo-US S&T Fellowships besides the nominations for INSA and CSIR awards.
