Newly elected MTA executive committee takes charge | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 26: Medical Teachers Association (MTA) of Government Medical College & Associated Hospitals and Indira Gandhi Government Dental College, Jammu elected its new executive committee in which Dr Sunil Kotwal (Prof & Head-ENT) was elected as its president the elections of which were held on March 24, 2015. As per press release, Dr Sunil Kotwal (Prof & Head-ENT) won the election as president with convincing victory over Dr SK Bali (Professor of Medicine & Head Nephrology). Other elected members are Dr AshokSharma (Associate Professor-Eye) as Vice President; Dr. Kailash S Thaker (Surgery) as GeneralSecretary; Dr Manish Singh (Orthopaedics) as Treasurer; Dr Vishal R Tandon (Pharmacology) asPress Secretary; Dr Rajesh Sharma (Radiodiganosis) as Joint Secretary. Other Nine Executivemembers are Prof (Dr) Sunanda Raina (HOD Anatomy); Prof. (Dr) Sunil Sachdev (HODPhysiology); Dr Sanjeev Kumar Digra (Paediatrics); Dr Jyotsna Suri (Pathology); Dr Abdul Gani(Orthopedics); Dr Rajesh Mahajan (Anaesthesia); Dr Isshfaq Chowdhary (Medicine); Dr Shabab Lalit Angurana (Radiotherapy and Oncology) from GMCH Jammu and Dr Bhavana Kaul(Pedodontics) from IGGDC, Jammu. The new elected team shall have two years of tenure as per theexisting bylaws of MTA. Dr Sunil Kotwal (President MTA), Dr. Kailash S Thaker (General Secretary. Whole team expressed their sincere thanks to all the esteemed faculty members of GMCH, SMGS, Super-specialty, CD & Chest, Psychiatry hospital and IGGDC Jammu for their support and trust. Whole team said that every faculty members shall be equal stake holder in the new elected MTA and with the support and co cooperation of all faculty members will try our best to come up to the expectations. New MTA is committed to provide best patient care to the society and general masses, best medical teaching to the students and at the same time shall play the role of bridge between Faculty members of these premier institutions and the Administrative Whole team expressed gratitude to Dr Zahid Gillani (Prof & Head) Pharmacology Department and his team for conducting such a fare and smooth MTA elections 2015. |
