BJP leadership not happy with performance of party ministers, MLAs in Assembly | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 26: Notwithstanding symbolic ruckus created by party MLAs after National Conference MLA Javed Rana passed derogatory religious remarks against Speaker of the Assembly, BJP leadership is not happy the way party legislators and ministers have handled the issue. Party leadership wanted to intensify this issue to expose National Conference in Jammu region but BJP MLAs failed to rake up this issue effectively. Credible sources in the BJP said that after yesterday's "Hindu Speaker" remarks appeared in today's news papers, BJP leadership took party MLAs to task for their failure to effectively take up this issue on the floor of the House. Party leadership spoke to some MLAs separately and cautioned them that such soft attitude on the sensitive issues would be proved costly for the party in the days to come. Credible sources said that BJP leadership is of the view that Hindu Speaker remark was the best opportunity before the MLAs to expose NC for his anti-Hindu mindset. "There is no coordination among party ministers and MLAs. Instead of giving directions to the party MLAs on sensitive issues like Hindu Speaker, the BJP ministers are more concerned about their own ministries", sources said and added that party high command was also not satisfied with the performance of some of the party ministers, who are only concerned about their ministries instead of protecting party's interest. Sources said that some MLAs, who were taken to task by the leadership for not effectively taking up the issue of Hindu Speaker, said that there was no direction from the ministers so they directionless at that time. Credible sources said that it was all due to the failure of the party ministers and MLAs that party leadership has asked its spokespersons to address a press conference on this issue. |
