Order not to affect Additional Secretary legal cell | TERMINATION OF RETIRED BABUS | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Jammu, Mar 26: Even though the government of Jammu and Kashmir as a part of its major initiative ordered disengagement of all those employees who were either given the extension or re-employed in previous National Conference-Congress government and issued an order vide GAD Order No. 384-GAD of 2015 Dated 17-03-2015 titled as "Termination of re-employment/re-engagement in the Government Departments/Public Sector Undertakings/Boards/Autonomous Bodies", the sources said that Additional Secretary GAD (Legal cell) continue to stick to his post despite the government order. The sources said that the said officer retired from the service three years ago, but was given extension by the previous government, adding that the due to non availability of an alternative and huge pendency of legal cases with the government, the said officer was allowed to continue. The sources said that said officer was appointed as the consolidated contractual consultant and with the passage of time the officer in question stated introducing himself as Additional Secretary who even said to have filed affidavits in Supreme Courts and High Court on behalf of government in various cases and signed on such documents as Under Secretary Law (GAD) while in actual the said officer was not at Additional Secretary. When contacted Commissioner Secretary GAD, M A Bukhari said that the services of the said officer has been terminated w-e-f 15-03-2015, added that he is not entitled to represent the government any more as government has not given any extension to his services. He said that the government directions are being followed in letter and spirit. |
