Family suspects involvement of some who owe him 'money' | Killing of Bijbehara Youth | | Saahil Suhail Early Times Report anantnag, Mar 26: Alleging involvement of some unidentified who owe him money, the family members of the deceased who was shot dead on Sunday, today appealed concerned police to probe the case fair and square to bring the guilty to the law. Javed Ahmad Waza, (35) was shot dead outside his in-laws house in New Colony Bijbehara at around 9 pm on Sunday evening and was declared brought dead at Sub-District Hospital. Family members of the slain youth said that his death was an outcome of his 'financial deals' with some locals. "He (youth) had some monetary deals with three locals and we suspect their hand in his killing. We have shared the names of people who owed money to him with police,", Ghulam Mohiudin brother-in-law of the slain youth told media persons. He said that few months back when Javed's house was ransacked over his alleged blackmailing of a local girl by some of the locals who owed money to him were leading from the front. Pertinent to mention, Bijbehara police booked Javed last November and detained him under Public Safety Act, accordingly a case under FIR number 279/2014 u/s 376, 511, 342 and 451 of the PRC was registered against him. Ghulam Mohidin, brother-in-law of the slain youth accused senior officials of downplaying their pleas which they made for the safety of the deceased youth. "After Javed Ahmad (Slain Youth) came out from the jail we met senior police officials in Bijbehara and requested them to provide us security and intervene into the financial deals, they instead of helping ignored our pleas," he lamented. "The senior citizens forum of locality is witness to the fact that the girl herself had confessed that some three people hired her for filing a complaint against him -the deceased," said Mohdihin. "We have shared the details of his monetary deals with police including SSP Anantnag and he has assured us of fair probe into the killing," said relative of deceased, further adding if case is probed fairly all these three suspects will turn out to be killers. Police has registered a case under FIR number 58 u/s 302 RPC 7/27 AA and have started investigating the killing. Meantime Senior Superintend of Police (SSP) Anantnag told Early Times that they are investigating the case from all angles and are hopeful of cracking it soon. "Yes family has provides us some details and we are investigating the case from all the angles," SSP said, adding very soon they will crack the case. |
