Jammu, Apr 8: Demanding release of pending salary, All J&K Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum, Jammu held protest here out at Exhibition Ground, Jammu. The protest was held under the chairmanship of Neenu Lata, state convenor and Surinder Manhas district president Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, the protesting ReTs demanded release of 10 month pending salary forthwith. They apprised that there were sixty thousand ReTs across Jammu and Kashmir who were without salary from last 10 months and in order to highlight their plights they approached Education Minister Naeem Akhtar, Finance Minister Haseeb Drasbu but nothing concrete could come out till date. "Our families suffered due to severe hardship but Govt is doing nothing for us", they said, adding, "Several times they apprised the Director Finance and Commissioner Secretary Education department about their demand of releasing pending salary, but all into the vain". They accused the Govt and State administration for having callous attitude towards them. The aggrieved ReTs appealed to the Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed, Education Minister and Finance Minister to concede their demand of releasing 10 month pending salary in favour of ReTs. Among others who participated in the protest were Vijay, Rakesh Choudhary, Saroj Gupta, Rakesh Chib, Joginder, Ram Lal, Tarsem Singh, Ashwani, Anil Gupta and others. |
