Police, Army organize awareness camp | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 8: Subdivision Police Nowshera, District Rajouri in collaboration with the 80 Infantry Brigade and Revenue authorities organized an awareness generation camp in Jhanger, Nowshera. The officers of 54 RR and 27 Rajput familiarized the people with various mines and explosives and also explained the precautions and Do's and Don'ts to be followed in either case. There was a skit staged by the officers of the army to demonstrate what to do and what not to do if they find any explosive or explosive like object. Commander 80 Inf Brigade Milan Mathur, Addl SP Nowshera Shri Rakesh Kumar, SDPO Nowshera Ms Sargun Shukla interacted with the general public of the area and reiterated that remnants of war in form of mines and unexploded shells and grenades are a threat to life and for that the civil population has to come forward and become partner alongwith security agencies by way of precaution and information. In this cause every stakeholder has to play its part and civilians living in this conflict and post conflict area have to shoulder a greater responsibility. They were asked to abstain from venturing into marked mine fields, not to get lured by temptation of selling it for scrap and to seek assistance of the Police and Army in case they find anything suspicious. |
