DC Samba distributes dairy equipment among farmers 4/17/2015 11:29:51 PM Early Times Report SAMBA, Apr 17: District Development Commissioner, Samba, Sheetal Nanda distributed Dairy Equipment and Mastitis Kits free of cost, among the 80 (Eighty) farmers from different areas of District Samba under National Mission for Protein Supplement (NMPS) -Scheme III, at a function organized by Animal Husbandry Department, Samba today. The basic objective of this scheme is to provide equipment and utensils to help the dairy farming in a hygienic way and also help in early detection of mastitis which is known to be very complex disease condition mainly because of multiple causative agents, poor understanding of the early immune response and complexities associate with mammary epithelial cell damage by both the agents and the host factors. Ms. Nanda interacted with the farmers and stressed upon the officers of the Department to take concrete measures for extending the activates of dairy farming in the District, with special emphasis on "Kandi Belt" so as to enhance the milk production in the District. She also stressed upon the beneficiaries for judicious use of the material provided to them by the Department.
