Privilege to unwanted elements responsible for national threats: PAPA | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 17: Recent unrest created by the valley based separatists is being measured or discussed in many ways nationwide again on the traditional lines which is not the solution, expressed by the president of non political organization namely People's Action & Public Accountability (PAPA). It will be quite wrong to say about its total elimination in view of worst ever massacre of 1947 and then emergence of Bangladesh but it would have been certainly minimized if central and state congress regimes would have honestly worked for this delicate issue, PAPA added. Even during the militancy of past, undue privilege was always given to the newly emerged separatists leaders of valley by the central home ministry and its agencies for luxurious trips within country and abroad in the name of different so-called political conferences, PAPA expressed. For the first time during the tenure of AB Bajpayee as PM, attempt was initiated towards the missing awareness among hilly youth of state against a proposal of PAPA president in the name of "Operation Sadbhawna" where results were satisfactory to much extent, it added. No attempt was made till date towards the needed motivation and political education or projection of youth outside the valley's two districts rather extra political/national media boost was allowed to continue as privilege to merely puppet politicians and newly emerged separatists of valley, it further added. To us, traditional privilege culture of previous central governments is somewhere responsible for the emergence of separatist leaders including Masrat Alam and others, PAPA urged. There is an urgent need of new mechanism to be adopted as remedial measure while trusting and cooperating the existing central government while coming out of political affiliations in order to start a meaningful exercise against the national threats, it concluded. |
