Youth Congress castigates New Recruitment Policy | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 22: Criticizing the New Recruitment Policy, Assembly President Youth Congress Pankaj Sharma said the PDP-BJP government has shown high degree of insensitivity while dealing with the burgeoning unemployment problem, as the mechanism devised is like sprinkling salt to the wounds of stake-holders. "There is a general apprehension that the policy will lead to rampant corruption, political interference and nepotism with merit holders finding themselves in lurch. He said the government has rushed the most important issue concerning the future of youth and said the youngsters won't allow trespass by parashooters because of their political proximity or any other reason. "The policy is fraught with the temptation of political interference which has potential of marring the career of youth", he maintained. Pankaj expressed apprehension that the credibility of the recruitment process will remain a big question mark under the new policy. He said the temporary nature of appointments with rider of seven years satisfactory performance for regularization is bound to result in uncertainty of those appointed. The Assembly President asked the government not to play with the career of educated youth, as those appointed will always feel a sword hanging over them. He expressed surprise over bulldozing the well established mechanism and subjecting recruitment to whims and fantasies of the ruling class. |
