Kishtwar people get 11 senior doctors for district hospital Singh, Sharma hailed

JAMMU, Apr 22: The people of Kishtwar today hailed the efforts of Minister of State for Revenue, R&B Sunil Sharma for his tireless efforts to pursue the case of non availability of doctors at District Hospital.
Sharma's efforts culminated into appointment of 11 senior specialist doctors in the hospital including ENT, the post which was lying vacant since last several years.
As per the order issued by the government Dr V.R. Pandita (Physician), Dr.Vikram Mahajan (Gynecologist), Dr.Vivek Mangotra (MO), Dr. Arti Rajput (MD Anesthesia), Dr. Bharat Bushan (consultant Surgeon), Dr. Majid Malik (ENT), Dr.Shruti Hans (MD Anesthesia), Dr. Arun Kumar (MO), Dr Ravinder Malhotra, Dr.Sumitra Devi both MOs, and Dr. Anil Kaul (MD Gynae) were transferred to District Hospital Kishtwar. Besides these, four other doctors who were attached to PHC Jourian were also detached and asked to report at DH Kishtwar.
While talking to Early Times MoS Sunil Sharma thanked the Health Minister Chowdhary Lal Singh for the appointments. He said that the government is fully committed for uplifting the remote and backward regions of the state and these steps will go in a long way in establishing the faith among the poor masses of the state.
Meanwhile, several political and social activists also hailed Sunil Sharma for fulfilling the long pending demand of the people. They also hoped that government will provide liberal funding to Kishtwar district for developing health infrastructure. "Government must immediately start the construction work on Cancer Hospital which stands sanctioned for Kishtwar District, beside there is also need to bring District Hospital Kishtwar under Medical College Jammu control as it was earlier so that the PG doctors could pursue their training from Kishtwar Hospital" said social activist Sanjeev Parihar.
