| Babus ‘succumb’ under political pressure, modify transfer orders of tehsildars | | |

Jammu April 26: A day after government ordered mass scale transfer of 226 Tehsildars in the Jammu and Kashmir vide order No. 80-Rev/GAZ of 2015 dated 24-4-2015 issued by Secretary to Government Revenue Department on last day of winter secretariat at Jammu, the political whip forced the Revenue Secretary to modify his own order within 24 hours of its issuance.
As per the details available with “Early Times”, despite the closing of civil secretariat on 24-4-2015, Revenue Secretary was forced by the political masters to modify the order next day vide order No. Rev/Gaz/16/2009-II dated 25-04-2015 titled as “Transfer and Postings--- Corrigendum to Government Order No : 80-Rev/Gaz of 2015 dated 24-04-2015”.
As per the modified order issued by the Revenue Secretary, Mohammad Altaf Butt who was posted as Tehsildar Rafiabad Baramulla (S.No. 25) has been posted as Tehsildar Nazool Srinagar, Reyaz Ahmed Shah (S.No. 54) who was posted as Tehsildar Banihal has been retained as Tehsildar D H Pora while Tehsildar featuring at S.No. 134 was transferred at his place in Banihal, Tariq Ahmed Rishi (S.No 60) who was psoted as Tehsildar D.H Pora has been transferred and posted as Tehsildar Kurhama, Anil Mangotra (S.No. 64) who was posted as Tehsildar Consolidation Jammu has been transferred and posted as Tehsildar Kalakot Rajouri, Manzoor Ahmad Butt (S.No 112) has now been transferred and posted as Tehsildar Wakoora has now been posted as Tehsildar Recovery Srinagar, Abdul Rehman Beigh (S.No 113) earlier posted as I/C Tehsildar Hermain Shopian has now been transferred and posted as Tehsildar Kupwara, Sunil Dogra (S.No 183) has now been transferred and posted as Tehsildar HQ to DC Ramban, while he was earlier posted as Tehsildar Bunjwah, a remote Tehsil in Kishtwar District, Tehsildar Sapna Kotwal (S.No 3), Zaffar Ahmed Lone (S.No. 63) and Malvika Sharma (S.No. 99) has been retained as Tehsildar Relief Jammu, Tehsildar Election and Tehsildar Relief respectively. Romesh Singh (S.No 152) posted as Tehsildar Khari Ramban has been asked to swap his posting with Ramesh Chander (S.164) posted as Tehsildar Relief Organisation Jammu. The entries appearing at Serial No. 185 (Kacho Asgar Ali) has been omitted in modification order and Tehsildar posted against Serial No. 147 and 151 has been pushed to wall in this modification order, Irshad Ahmed Butt who was posted as Tehsildar Mughal Maidan has now been transferred and posted as Tehsildar of state’s most backward Tehsil of Marwah in Kishtwar District. Similarly Tehsildar Mohammad Shabir (S.No 209) earlier posted as HQ assistant to DC Kargil has now been transferred and posted as Tehsildar Taisuru Kargil and Raman Kumar (S.No. 225) has been transferred and posted as Tehsildar Tryath Rajouri instead of Tehsildar Rajouri, all difficult posts compared to their earlier postings ordered by the government on 24-04-2015.
Pertinently, Revenue Minister Javed Mustafa Mir had hardened his stand and refused to repatriate the Patwaris transferred to original place of postings, while even some cases on medical grounds are pending before the minister for consideration since last over month and the modification in transfer order of Tehsildar’s that too when Revenue Minister was outside country for religious pilgrimage has raised eyebrows.
