CUK signs LoA with SKUAST-K 6/6/2015 11:00:45 PM Early Times Report Srinagar, June 6 : Srinagar, June 2: The Department of Economics Central University of Kashmir (CUK) today signed a Letter of Agreement (LoA) with the Division of Agricultural Economics and Marketing and Rajiv Gandhi Chair, SK University of Agriculture Science and Technology (SKUAST-K). The LoA was signed by Head Department of Economics, CUK, Prof. G M Bhat and Professor and Head Division of Agricultural Economics, SKUAST-K, Prof. Shabir Ahmad Wani and Professor Rajiv Gandhi Chair, Prof. Masood Ul Haq Wani in the presence of CUK officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj uddin and SKUAST-K, VC, Dr. Tej Pratap. The purpose of LoA is to collaborate in teaching and research in thrust areas of economics/agricultural economics; initiate and conduct capacity building programmes for the faculty, students and researchers; jointly conduct workshops, seminars and other events; exploring news trends in research and teaching which can be put into practice jointly; exchange ideas, opinions, reviews, and experiences for enhancing the economic sector and academics as well; offer opportunities to take up different courses especially econometrics, research methodology and other quantitative techniques for the students and research scholars; to ensure that the enrolled research fellows will be provided access to various infrastructural facilities like department library, lab, software, research journals and other data resources.
