Jammu, June 6 : World Environment Day was observed at Salal Power Station, Jyotipuram today.
On the occasion, A G Ansari, General Manager, Salal Power Station planted a sapling followed by plantation of sapling by Sri Prakash, Chief Enginer, Rajeev Jerath, Chief Engineer, A Z Geelani Chief Engineer, other Senior Officers, employees and children. Speaking on the occasion, Ansari requested all employees to take care of the saplings planted so that initiative taken persists and contributes for better environment. He further said that little efforts like plantation of just one sapling by each and every citizen of the country shall go a long way in maintaining the ecological balance. |
