Satpal Sharma elected president for District Brahmin Sabha Poonch 6/6/2015 11:13:10 PM Early Times Report POONCH, June 6: Satpal Sharma was elected as new president for District Brahmin Sabha Poonch in a general meeting of Brahmins at Maa Ann Purna Temple here today. A meeting of Brahmin community from across the district was held at Maa Ann Purna Temple to discuss the issues related to Brahmin community and future course of action of district Brahmin Sabha. All the prominent Brahmin leaders, religious teachers and public in general in one voice elected Sh Satpal Sharma as new president for the Sabha and Darshan Kumar Sudan as new General Secretary. The District Sanatan Dharam Sabha had recently constituted an adhoc committee to run the affairs of the Brahmin Sabha after the resignation submitted by the previous Sabha. All the people present in the general meeting expressed faith on the adhoc committee constituted by the Sanatan Dharam Sabha and approved it in one voice by raising hands and chanting of "OM" on the occasion. Pt Gopal Sharma and Pt. Viney Kumar spoke on the duties of Brahmins by giving various quotes of Shri Bhagwat Geeta and Vedas. They also described duties of 4 Varnas in the society.
