Three bovine smugglers held, seven animal rescued | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 6: Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers, the Police today arrested three bovine smugglers and rescued seven bovines during a naka checking at two separate incidents in Rajouri area. The accused have been identified namely as Asif Mehmeood s/o Mohd Hafeez of Planger, Ussan Parvaiz of Saranoo and Riaz Ahmed of Sunderbani. Police spokesman said, "Rajouri Police led by SI Jatinder Singh raised a naka at different two locations on National Highway i.e Khandli and Saranoo under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Inspector Yash Paul Singh and seized two TATA mobiles bearing registration Nos. JK02F -1785 and JK02AR -8563 and rescued 07 bovine animals which were on its way from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thanamandi for sale purpose in Kashmir valley without any permission." Respective cases under FIR Nos. 299 /2015 and 300/2015 under section 188 of RPC and 3PCA have been registered at Police Station Rajouri and further investigations are on. Pertinently Rajouri Police under its intensified campaign against bovine smugglers have registered 32 cases of bovine smuggling against 104 persons and have rescued against 220 animals and 21 have seized vehicles so far. |
