Deputation calls on CEO Udhampur, urges not to shift GMS

Udhampur, June 6: A deputation of locals hailing from Dyali Chak today called on Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur and requested him not to shift of Government Middle School (GMS) from their village.
The deputation headed by Som Raj State Vice President Mazdoor Union highlighted the problems of villagers and said the shifting of school will snatch the right to education of children of village who belong to rural families having limited economic resources and can't afford to go outside their village to get education.
Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur heard the appraisal of deputation with patience and assured that he will take the matter to higher authorities.
Meanwhile talking to media persons in Udhampur, the deputations said if their demand is not considered they will protest in front of office of DC Udhampur and Director of Education also. They also added they will not hesitate to go for hunger strike for the rights of children of the village.
