Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers to hold protest on June 12 6/6/2015 11:58:50 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 6: Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) under the banner of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMF) to hold protest demonstration on June 12 in front of the Directorate of Health Services. Addressing the media persons, president of JKMEF Sushil Sudan condemned the callous attitude of concerned department and alleged that the workers have been working without salaries for last 18 months demanding immediate release of salaries, which have not been paid for the last over 12 months. He further said that they had urged the successive state governments to settle the issue of the workers and ensure that workers did not face discrimination and nothing had been done to settle the issue by the authorities, except for the assurances. He also demanded increase in the grade of multipurpose workers and alleged that due to the non-payment of salaries for such a long time they were unable to meet the daily expenses of their families.
