Fear of exposure forced Yasin Malik to cancel his dharna at Jammu | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 16: The self-styled "freedom fighter" and chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Yasin Malik, had announced with much publicity to stage dharna in supporters of those who have given notices to evict forest land at Jammu. Yasin Malik had announced to visit Jammu on June 15 to stage a dharna there but without any information Malik cancelled his "drama" programme. Credible sources said that the so-called "freedom fighter" has realized that people of Jammu region will give him befitting reply so he cancelled his much publicised Jammu visit. Credible sources said that some leaders of Hurriyat Conference have themselves encroached forest land and Forest Department is preparing data of all Hurriyat leaders and their sympathisers who have encroached government land. "Some Hurriyat leaders who have themselves encroached Forest land have advised Yasin Malik not to rake up this issue otherwise all of them would be exposed", sources said and revealed that pressure of other Hurriyat leaders prevailed upon and he cancelled his visit. Credible sources said that Forest Minister has already prepared a details of entire forest land encroached by Hurriyat leaders. Important to mention here that Yasin Malik had staged a dharna at Srinagar on June 12 against forcible eviction of a particular section of the society from forest land but he failed to fullfill his promise of staging same dharna at Jammu. |
