GE&WJAC holds meeting in Summer Capital | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 16: Jammu and Kashmir Government Employee & Worker Joint Action Committee (JKGE&WJAC) today held meeting under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik at Srinagar. According to press release, all the representatives in one voice appeal to the state government to fulfill all the pending demands of employees including removal of pay anomalies/ disparity of clerical cadre. Address the meeting, the state President Babu Hussain Malik condemned the previous government for deliberately betraying from the commitment made between the employees and the government on 10/ 03/ 2008, 19/02/ 2009, and 14/05 2010 wherein it was promised to fulfill all the agreed demands of the employee and nothing was done. He further said that the clerical cadre was backbone of the state departments, working round the clock with full dedication and honesty but in return of which, the government giving a step mother treatment at the time of salary and perks. "They always facing discrimination by the state government", he said. They urged the government to fulfill the following demands are as Removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre by giving grade of 4000-6000 to Junior Assistant and 4500-7000 to Senior Assistant and 5500-9000 to Head Assistant. Release of pending six percent D.A. Increase of medical allowance from RS 800 to Rs 2000. Other those who presented in meeting were Khurshid Ahmed Dewani, Nazir Ahmed Buttm Yashpal Sharma, Javid Akhoon, Parshotam Sharma, Shehzadi Gill, Jaswant Singh Seva Ram Rathore and Meenakshi Sharma. |
