Carmel Convent organizes 2-day trekking programme | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 16: As a part of better academics and extracurricular activities, the Carmel Convent organized a two day trekking cum nature walk Programme for the students of the school at Patnitop of Udhampur district to give them exposure to closure of the Mother Nature. According to spokesperson of school, a group of 22 students along with five teachers under the supervision of Sister Suzette the principal of school participated in this programme conducted on June 14-15. "The programme was organized with an aim to give students an exposure to extra-curricular activities besides encouraging team spirits and sportsmanship, spokesperson said, adding during the programme the students were also made aware of the cleanliness of surroundings especially the nature and how to preserve the green forests. Spokesperson added that an interactive session with local farmers were also held as a part of activity so that students may get a picture of rural life Besides Principal of School, the teachers namely Rekha, P.K.Kotwal, Dheeraj Jamwal and Nayna Bamotra also acted as resource persons during the said trekking camp. |
