JTC holds meeting | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 22: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front today held under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita. According to press release, during meeting various problems of Migrant Pandit Community were discussed in detail. Speaking on the occasion, Pandita has expressed his grave concern over the prevailing corrupt practices of some zonal officers/ of Relief Organisation posted in different zones. He further said that such Zonal Officers/ have lost their sense of humanity and have been indulging in corrupt practices without caring for the miseries and sufferings of the Migrants though they are themselves migrants from Kashmir Valley. He demanded that the authorities concerned as well as Government should come up with clear intentions to ensure transfer of such corrupt zonal officers who have prolonged stay in Relief Organisation and paving way to other in - service honest and dedicated employees in the Relief Organisation to mitigate sufferings of the migrants on one hand and to streamline the working of Relief Organisation on the other hand which will be in the best interests of the migrants. The participants have expressed their concern over the working of Vigilance Organisation/Crime Branch Jammu, which despite receiving complaints against such corrupt zonal officers have not initiated any action against the corrupt zonal officers and have said that despite the fact that Vigilance Organisation and Crime Branch are well aware of the prevailing corruption in the Relief Zones/ Camps, why action is not being taken by the authorities in curbing this menace. Rajinder Dhar, M.L. Pandita, Methan Pandita, Sanjay Pandita, Hari Krishan, Vijay Pandita and R.K. Bhat were also present on the occasion. |
