Govt supports anti-national elements, ignores farmers: Kashyap | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, June 22: Lambasting on BJP-PDP coalition government in J&K, The Bahujan Samaj Party, BSP today staged protest demonstration here at Kathua and alleged on government to support anti-national elements that wave off green and ISIS flags on the soil of India in Kashmir but no action has been taken even their stern criminal cases have been withdrawn to make them prominent. The protest was led by State BSP President Tarsem Khullar and National General Secretary of the Party and in-charge J&K and Punjab Narinder Kashyap (MP) wherein Gurnam Choudhary, State coordinator of the party was the special invitee. A large number was of party leaders, office bearers and workers participated in the day long programme. Addressing gathering, Kashyap pointed out that Central and State Governments have adopted anti-people policies since they came into power. The BSP has taken very serious view of their working and noted that BJP- PDP busy in supporting anti-national elements where no serious cases have been registered so far against those who wave off Green and ISIS flags openly in Kashmir. He said BJP talks about Hindutav and PDP supports Separatists where common man suffers a lot due to their divisive policies. He said BSP has taken strong note of the BJP's Anti-farmers' Amendment Bill with regard to Land Acquisition Act where not only farmers but many other major political parties have strongly opposed this Bill. It is totally against the interests of the farmers. This is just to appease Corporate Houses. The BSP leader demanded that Government must come to the rescue of the farmers without any more delay. He said the party has launched country wide programme against the NDA Government and beginning has been made from the North India. Gurnam Choudhary and Tarsem Khullar also addressed the gathering and criticized the State Government for anti-poor, anti-youth and anti-farmer policies. They alleged that new recruitment policy of the State Government has badly affected the SC/ST youth and moreover, contractual appointments for seven years have shocked the educated youth of the State. They demanded compensation for the farmers whose crops have been damaged. The OBC are being provided just 2 % reservation and they should be covered under Mandal Commission recommendations. |
