Orientation training programme concludes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 4 : A four week long Orientation Training Programme for in-service teachers of Jammu District, under Centrally Sponsored Scheme 2015 concluded, here on Saturday. According to press release, the training programme organized by District Institute of Education and Trainings Jammu (DIET) achieved 100% target and imparted training to 450 in-service teachers. The training programme was conducted in four phases and at three venues viz GHSS Satwari, HSS (Boys) Bakshi Nagar and HSS (B) Akhnoor. The subjects covered in the training were Science, Mathematics, Social Science, English and Hindi. The orientation aimed at motivating the teachers to indulge in students based teaching and act as facilitators of learning rather than conveyer of information. Novel and innovative methods of teaching were emphasized by the Resource Persons in different subjects. Stress was laid on maximum use of teaching aids in class room teaching. The teachers were also made aware of guidelines laid down by National curriculum Frame Work (NCF) 2005. Principal DIET Jammu Mohinder Singh played a pivotal role in the conduct of the training programme. |
