CMO Rajouri suspends CHC staff for absent from duty | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, July 4: After repeated complaints by the inhabitants of Ghambhir Muglan in Manjakot tehsil in Rajouri district, Dr Chaman Bhasin paid surprise visit to Community Health Centre and found it locked at about 2 pm on Friday. Dr Chaman Bhasin, CMO directed the accompanying Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr Ashfaq to seek explanation from the staff on day duty and also place them under suspension. Sources said that about 12 employees including two doctors appointed under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) were on day duty at this CHC when the CMO paid surprise visit. "Dr Rifat, and Dr Yousuf Bhat along with other staff have been suspended from duties on the directions of CMO and have been asked to explain their postion before an action initiated against them under rules" said Dr AShfaq, BMO. He added that till the inquiry was not completed directions have been sent to concerned authorities not to release the salary of the suspended staff. On way back to Rajouri Dr Chaman Bhasin along with his team also visited CHC at Manjakot and found the staff on duty, however, he directed BMO to fine those employees who were found not following dress codes. |
