Early Times Report

Jammu, July 4: In a petition filed by diploma holder engineers challenging the selection of Junior Engineers (Civil) on different grounds, Justice Tashi Rabstan of J&K High Court Jammu Wing directed Service Selection Board to award 5 points to the petitioners.
After hearing Adv Irfaan Khan, the Justice Tashi Rabstan of J&K High Court Jammu Wing disposed of bunch of petitions in terms of the judgment passed by the Srinagar wing of the High Court saying that instead of upsetting the whole process of selection including appointments of 164 candidates, the safest course for addressing the grievance of the petitioners is that the Board (SSB) will undertake the exercise where under 5 points across the board shall also be awarded to the petitioners (Diploma Holders) and added to their points as they have already secured. Court after accepting the submission of counselor of petitioners all five writ petitions referred by aggrieved Diploma Holder Engineers were disposed of by directing Service Selection Board to award 05 points to the petitioners.
