e-Duniya Day celebrated across post offices in Jammu, Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, July 4: As part of 'Digital India Week' Jammu & Kashmir Postal Circle of Department of Posts today celebrated 'e-Duniya Day' in the Head Post Offices and all other major Post Offices in the state. A spokesman of the department said that at Srinagar General Post Office the day was celebrated in a big way for which suitable arrangements were made. Under this new landmark of the Postal Services the savings Bank accounts, savings bank certificates and Postal Life Insurance policies of the customers held in CBS offices were linked with their Aadhar Numbers and Mobile numbers. "The J&K Postal Circle has shown considerable growth in business especially in opening of accounts under various schemes of Savings Bank and by linking of these accounts with the Aadhar numbers and Mobile numbers. Department of Posts is committed to provide best services to the customers and will continue to play vital role in the development of the society by providing financial security," said the spokesman. The spokesman said that in the upcoming programmes of 'Digital India Week' the Department of Posts will be holding meeting with potential customers to educate them regarding futuristic preparedness of e-commerce and redressal of public grievances. |
