| No respite for Vijaypur people as unscheduled power cuts rise | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Aug 1 : With no respite from unscheduled power curtailments, the locals of Vijaypur and its surrounding areas are facing lot of hardships in the midst of hot and humid weather conditions. The anguished people told Early Times that the main reason for forewent power outages is the installation of poor quality transformers by the Power Development Department (PDD) adding that inferior quality transformers develop faults within two to three days of their installation. The locals said that they approached the Executive Engineer, EM&RE Division Vijaypur and asked him the reasons behind installation of such type of transformers but he failed to give a satisfactory response. The people further raised the fingers on conduct and behavior of the PDD officials because they give priority to only those persons who possess a recommendation slip issued by the PA of Minister of Industries & Commerce which is gross injustice with others. |
