| Encroachment, violation on National highway: PDP leader | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 1: Expressing serious concerns over the encroachments by the land mafia, Sudarshan Choudhary Sr PDP activist today during his visit to Greater Kailash, Kunjwani and Sainink Colony said that unabated encroachment is going on in Greater Kailash, one Nallah flowing from Chatta through Sainik Colony is being encroached by an influential person who is constructing Banquet Hall in the center of Greater Kailash.
He said, "The illegal encroachment bed of Nallah has been reduced by way of encroachment thus putting the life of nearby residents at risk in particular and the whole locality in general."
Besides this many new business establishments are being set up along the National Highway Byepass from Kunjwani to Narwal which do not have their parking slots and commuters who visit their business points park their vehicles on the road which eats up the traffic movement space of the road.
Choudhary, therefore requested the state Government and Jammu Municipal Corporation to take action to put a curb on the unabated encroachment and violation of parking norms especially on the National Highway. |
