| NFITU thanks JMC for conceding their demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 15: National Front of Indian Trade Unions (NFITU) today thanked Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for conceding their demands.
According to press release, in a meeting of representatives of Safaikaramcharis Union of Jammu Municipality, they had called on Commissioner JMC Dr Mandeep Kour.
Ch Jarnail Khokhar , President , National Front of Indian Trade Unions(NFITU) duly recognized by the Ministry of Labour Govt of India who presented a charter of demands highlighting the demands of Safaikaramcharis.
The issues discussed in the meeting include, absence of Labour colony, under 35B civil services rule of J&K state, Safaikaramcharis children who are well qualified be exempted from state subject and may be provided jobs, atleast in the JMC in various sections of JMC.The wages for unskilled workers range to Rs 10,000 per month while for skilled workers it would range between Rs 14000 and Rs 20,000 . All safaikaramcharis laws and schemes launched by the central govt for welfare of the Safaikaramcharis of Jammu be implemented by the JMC. Regular Health camps for the medical checkup of the Safaikaramcharies and their families be organised. |
