NSF criticizes JU VC for delaying Re-evaluation results | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 15: National Secular Forum (NSF) today criticized Jammu University Vice Chancellor for delaying re-evaluation results of various courses, demands chancellor, pro chancellor to take strict action against. Addressing media person, Surjeet Singh said that though chancellor and pro chancellor direct university administration to declare re- evaluation results timely but most of the subject re-evaluation result was declared after 90 days. He further said that a RTI reply mentioned that the process of Re-Evaluation was plagued in many ways and had gone worst during the last 11 months since Prof R D Sharma sitting at the helm of affairs. He said, "Controller Wing of JU took 63 days to declare the re-evaluation result of three students of M.A Music, 89 days to declare the re-evaluation result of three students of IT, 57 days to declare the re-evaluation result of a single candidate of M.A Punjabi and worst is the case where University took 140 days to declare the result of just two students of M.A Kashmiri and 253 days to declare the result of just nine students of M.A Hindi" Choudhary further said that there were many other instances where result of Master in Chemistry, Geography, Physics, M.Com, Urdu were declared after 130, 117, 99, 114 and 109 days respectively. Ever since, Prof R D Sharma has taken over the reins of the University, the condition has gone worst as almost all the sections have failed to deliver in time especially Re-evaluation is the real casualty. |
