IDA to hold lecture on "Medical Emergencies in Dental Practice" | | | Early Times Report
jammu, Sept 15: Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu branch will conduct a lecture on the topic "Medical Emergencies in Dental Practice" at University of Jammu on September 20 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Dr Gautam Sharma, Secretary IDA, said that this seminar is must for each and every practicing dentist as well as students of dentistry. He said that in view of the recent deaths reported in the dental clinics in Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore we can no longer continue to ignore the medical emergencies which are a neglected part of our practices. It is rare for us to find all things under one roof. Dr Rohit Punga's lecture is focused on medical conditions of significance to dental practice. It encompasses the entire scope of emergencies which can arise in the dental office and their management in detail. Dr Rohit Punga, a well known Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from Delhi who completed his MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore will be the key speaker. Dr Bhupinder Singh, President IDA told that this lecture would provide an insight to the preparedness both mental and physical that is required to be able to manage the emergencies. Dr Rajiv Mengi, Treasurer IDA said that the three hour duration lecture aims to find an audience in practitioners with established practices to update with the current practice scenarios.
