JAMMU, Sept 15 : The combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments today defended the men's inter-college judo trophy after they topped the points tally winning maximum number of medals.
The Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua remained runners up. This competition was organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education at the Gymnasium on the campus, here.
Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Dhian Singh Bhau presented the overall trophy to PG Departments. He was accompanied by Narayani Jamwal (Physical Director of GDC Paloura), Ravish Vaid and Gagan Kumar.
Earlier, the competition officiated by the technical penal comprising Suraj Bhan Singh, Vikas Dogra, Arshi Nad and Varinder Sharma. Jai Bharat was event incharge.

BASKETBALL: Meanwhile, in the inter-college women's basketball tournament, Government SPMR College of Commerce outplayed Government Degree College (GDC) Samba 12-04 in the opening match played at MA Stadium, here today.
Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar got walkover ASCOMS. Now, the semifinals have been scheduled for tomorrow. Today's lone match was officiated by the technical penal comprising Aman Sharma, Manoj Kumar, Harpreet Singh and Rajesh Bhagat.
KHO-KHO: In the inter-college women's kho-kho event, Government College for Women (GCW) Kathua defeated GDC Samba 05-04. Anil Sharma, Anil Kumar, Mohd Israr, Ankush Sharma and Gagan Kumar were officials. |
