| Fresher's Party organized at Reasi Campus | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, Sept 15 : Fresher's Party 2015' of Department of Sociology was organized at Reasi Campus, University of Jammu today in the university premises for welcoming fresher students. The function was organized with an aim of giving chance to senior and junior students to know each other and celebrate and show their other talent apart from studies.
The audience was kept enthralled for four hours by mind blowing performance of dances, songs and poetry. Participants were supported and encouraged by everyone as they performed on the stage. Manjeet Katoch and Himanshi Bamba of first semester were selected Mr. and Fresher's on the basis of their performances. The chief guest on the occasion was Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Reasi Campus. Dr. Daud welcomed the freshers in the campus andwished them all the success in their future endeavors and assured them that the campus will provide the best possible facilities to the students for their overall development. He further said that the objective of such programmes at the beginning of the academic session is to strengthen the bond between the senior and junior batches for facilitating healthy and cordial relationship. On the occasion, Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba appreciated the efforts of 3rd semester students for organizing such an events. The event winded up by the group dance performance and delicious lunch. During the function, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Sharma, Poonam Rainu and Ashu Sharma, Campus Development Officer, Irfan Goni were present.
