Health employee got trapped in cross border firing, traced | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Mendhar Sept 15: An employee of health employees department who reportedly went missing near Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote of Mendhar after he got trapped in heavy cross border firing on Sunday evening, today was traced. Police sources said, a male Multipurpose Health Worker identified as Nazir Ahmed posted in MAC Dabi in Balakote of Mendhar had gone to his duty yesterday morning but failed return home in the evening. "Family members of the said official informed local health officers including Block Medical Officer after which contact was established with the locals of the area where the person was posted at present but no assertive information was received from the village. "However the today morning, a large number of relatives of the said official and senior health department officers including BMO Mendhar, Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan also visited the area and contacted senior army officers and a massive search was launched to trace missing employee, police sources said. During the search operation, the said employee was traced in border village Behroti and during questioning he narrated when he was on his way back to home, he got trapped in Pak shelling which started suddenly late evening and he spent his night in the house of a local in the area. |
