Yet another bullet riddled body recovered from North Kashmir | | | S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report BARAMULLA, Sept 15: A day after locals found three bullet-ridden bodies in an orchard in Pattan area, another dead body was spotted in Tangmarg area of Baramulla district. Meanwhile JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik was arrested by police while he was on his way to Sopore. On Monday morning three bullet ridden bodies of youth were found dumped in an apple orchard in Pattan area of Baramulla district, after which protests had erupted in the area. Sources told Early Times that today in the wee hours body of Manzoor Ahmad Reshi son of Mohammad Sultan Reshi resident of Gonipora Kunzer believed to be in his mid-thirties was found near Government Middle School Gonipora village of Tangmarg. The dead body was brought to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Tangmarag for postmortem, where the examination was conducted by Dr Ashraf. BMO Kunzer Dr Zulfiqar said that there was no fracture of thyroid and hyoid cartilage which is otherwise believed a fracture in homicide cases. "Ligature and its mark also found that above the thyroid bone which indicates suicidal type of mark and therefore the possible cause of death is litigation resulting in respiratory and cardiac arrest. It can be concluded that probable cause of death is suicidal in nature," said sources quoting BMO. However people protested against the death of individual and had blocked the Srinagar-Gulmarg road at Kunzer. At the same time Malik along with a delegation was arrested today when he was on way to Sopore to express sympathy with the bereaved families. Malik and others were stopped by police near Tarzoo, Sopore and arrested. They were lodged at police station Sopore. In the meantime, a local sources while quoting a Hizb spokesman said that the three youth Ashiq Ahmad, Amir Reshi and Naveed were affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen. Notably, protests broke out in Pattan yesterday after three bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from an orchard in Shutz village. Meanwhile violent protests were erupted at various places in North Kashmir like Palhallan, Pattan, Batpora, Hardshiva, Sangrama and Puthkhah. Pattan and Sopore townships observed a complete shutdown against the killing of trio while clashes between protesters and police erupted at many places resulting in the injuries of many protesters and cops, said sources. All the shops and business establishments remained closed in Pattan, Palhalan and its adjacent areas including Gohiwa, Wusun, Nehalpora, Dangarpora and Lolipora. Police lobbed tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth who were hurling stones on government forces and had blocked the road at Hyderbeigh Pattan. FIR number 165/2015 under section 302 RPC, 7/25 Arms Act has been registered in police station Pattan and investigation have been taken up to ascertain the facts. |
