Social organizations seek to make Urdu compulsory in all Govt/Private Schools | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 21: Several social organisations today came ahead in support of Naib-Tehsildar aspirants and demanded relaxation in competitive examination advertised by JKSSB as Urdu language. Members of several social organizations jointly organized a press conference, under the leadership of Ghansham Sharma, who said that state's official language is not seriously implemented in government and private schools, hundreds of schools are without Urdu teachers and the language is yet to be considered as compulsory in Jammu region then how can government make it compulsory in several competitive examinations including Naib-Tehsildars'. He said ironically most of the official work is being done in Urdu language without providing faculty in schools and college that expressed ignorance and indolence in the part of state government. He said even educated people considered to be illiterate due to lack of Urdu script. He appealed Jammu based MLAs to raise issue in forthcoming JK Assembly session and justice must be done with the aspirants falling in Jammu province. Som Raj, another social activist, said KAS/ IAS also learn Urdu when they join the revenue department that process must be implemented for Naib-Tehsildar aspirants but making it compulsory in examination reveals biased attitude of state government towards educated youths of Jammu province. Tarsem Lal Sarpanch, Manohar Lal Naib- Sarpanch, Narendra Kala Naib- Sarpanch, Semerjeet Singh Sassan, Paramveer Singh Chitu and many other social activists from another organizations demanded Urdu teachers in Govt./ Private schools and relaxation for aspirants of Naib-Tehsildar in Competitive examination. They threatened to stage huge agitation aagainst JKSSB and State government if government fails to modify syllabus for Naib-Tehsildar test. |
