Bill to repeal beef sale ban may not be allowed in LA | BJP-PDP in tacit understanding | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 21: The BJP has made it clear that it will not allow any bill, private or by any party, which seeks to the repeal the section prohibiting sale of the beef in the State. The PDP too has decided to go slow on it. Speaker Kavinder Gupta had said as a Speaker he will not allow any bill which has the potential of creating law and order problem in the State. The speaker has thus clearly made it clear that the bills for repealing section RPC 298 and RPC 298-B will not be entertained. The National Conference, CPM, independent MLA Engineer Rashid had submitted their bills in the Assembly secretariat as the session starts in Srinagar soon. The Speaker by stating it has clearly reflected the point of the view of the party, which doesn't want to send a signal that it will allow any legislative move which can affect the religious sensibilities of the community it represents and also that it doesn't want to create any more problem for the party and the government especially in the Jammu region. "All these dirty tricks by the party are being done with the specific aim of creating communal tension in the Jammu from where it has got the maximum seats. These parties also knew that any such reaction or incident will invite strong response from the rest of the country and the BJP will be forced to make a move which goes against the well crafted move of staying in the power for six-year. We know their plans and it has been communicated to the party leadership also," said a senior BJP leader. The BJP central leadership has advised its party unit to while maintain a low key silence on but at the same time doesn't allow any such move. The party has also crafted a plan to counter such moves in the courts also. |
