Govt will strictly execute beef ban in state: Manhas | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 21: Rajya Sabha Member Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas today said that J&K would follow the apex court directions and order issued by Union government for the implementation of law against sale/ purchase of beef. During a press conference here at Kathua, Manhas said it is time for development and look forward than indulge in baseless argument on act that was banned by Cabinet constituted by Maharaja Hari Singh in 1932 where the beef was strictly banned in entire Jammu and Kashmir. He said few anti- national elements performed sailings/purchasing of beef despite ban but it would not be continued in future. He said JK government just follows the directions issued by union government and Apex Court. He said opposition has no issue to discuss and just expressing their presence in state to raise baseless obstacles in the development of the state. He said few anti-national elements work under the directions issued by their bosses operating from Pakistan who try to destroy tranquility in the state & India. He said people who provoke innocent people against government have their bestow interest.He appealed all to co-operate with the government to implement the law where PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti also recommended the consideration of ban on beef. |
