Srinagar, Oct 12: As many as 10,240 cases of different nature were settled amicably in National Lok Adalats held in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir. An official spokesperson here today said that National Lok Adalats on traffic, petty matters and Municipal matters were held across the state. He said 10,240 cases were disposed off in these National Lok Adalats and an amount of Rs 20,62,175 was realized as compound money. The National Lok Adalats were held at District and Tehsil level under the patronage of Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar, Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Patron-in-Chief J&K State Legal Services Authority and under the guidance of Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Judge J&K High Court and Executive Chairman, J&K State Legal Services Authority. |
