| Nephrology Deptt SSH organizes awareness programme on CKD | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 12: The Department of Nephrology Super Specialty Hospital (SSH) organized awareness programme on Chronic Kidney Disease for the staff of the Dialysis unit. Addressing gathering, Dr. S K Bali HOD Nephrology delivered a lecture on the topic of management of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Diabetes and Hypertension are the two diseases which lead to CKD, and the proper management and control of diabetes and Hypertension form an important tool for control of CKD.
"It is estimated that around 1 lakh new cases of CKD are detected every year in India and only 10 % of these get proper treatment in the form of dialysis and transplantation, " he claimed and appreciated the efforts of the staff members of the Dialysis unit who have been performing their duties with dedication.
Principal GMC Dr. Ganshyam Dev presided over the functioning and he motivated the staff members to work with zeal and enthusiasm for the critically sick dialysis patients who require sympathy and care.
Dr. Sushil K Sharma HOD also shared the dice and has given his valuable suggestion for the better patient care. Dr. Surinder Sodhi also told the gathering that the department of Nephrology is providing Heamodialysis/Home Dialysis/APD/Kidney Biopsy services to the patients. |
