"Yuva Aakrosh Yatra" of PYC begins from Lakhanpur

KATHUA, Oct 12: To launch a mass movement against the recently adopted recruitment policy of the BJP-PDP government and supporting unsettled issues of thousands of daily wagers, NYCs and other educated unemployed youth, the Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) started the "Yuva Aakrosh Yatra" from Lakhanpur which will culminate at Leh on November 3 after covering the 22 districts of the State.
During the Yatra, PYC will organize foot marches at the district head quarters and towns and will organize protest demonstrations against the recently adopted recruitment policy.
The Yatra was flagged off by Dr Manhor Lal Sharma Ex Minister, Subash Gupta DCC President Kathua at Lakhanpur in the presence of Dr Uma Shanker Pandey National Secretary IYC & I/C J&K Youth Congress, Pranav Shagotra President J&K PYC, Satish Sharma and others. The senior Congress leaders also addressed the youth in Yatra.
A large number of youth participated in the Yatra and marched from Lakhanpur to Kathua town. After a strong protest demonstration in Kathua, the Yatra moved to district Samba in the form of car and motor cycle rally.
The Yatra was received and addressed by Manjeet Singh Ex Minister in Vijaypur. The Yatra also received rousing welcome in Chhani and Samba, where a large number of youth joined the yatra and marched towards Vijapur. Tomorrow Yatra will proceed to Jammu.
A large number of PYC, LYC and AYC Youth Congress leaders participated in the Yatra. Prominent leaders who led the Yatra were Balbir Singh, Rajan Sharma PYC Secretary, Rajiv Gupta, Pankaj Sharma, Ricky Dalotra, Ashwini Sharma, Aakash Bharat and others. Addressing the gathering, Dr Uma Shanker Pandey National Secretary IYC & I/C J&K Youth Congress exhorted upon the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to join this mass movement at a large scale to get rid of the anti-youth policies of the present government.
Speaking on the occasion, President PYC Pranav Shagotra said that since the government did not respond to our repeated requests for an audience and appeals for scrapping of the recently adopted recruitment policy of the BJP-PDP government and settling of the issues of thousands of daily wagers, NYCs and other educated unemployed youth.
