Kathua, Oct 12: In order to create awareness amongst the children about the role of postal services of India, World Post Day was celebrated today. Mili R.Sumbria, Principal, Kidzee and Mount Litera Zee School, Kathua explained to the students that in this era of technology and advancement, the Postal Department is not only pacing up to cope with these pressures but in the coming years all the post offices will be made IT enabled. She further said whether it be the money order, e-post, speed post, business post etc. a variety of stamps, the postal department is becoming better and effective each year. She further motivated the students and encouraged the staff members to keep organizing such events where education becomes a real life experience. The children were extremely excited and enthusiastic as what they studied in their books became real for them. They met the Post Master, understood the journey of a letter, saw the post box etc. The school management thanked Charan Bhagat Post Master, Kathua who extended full support and cooperation with the school to make the event a grand success. |
