Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 12: As many as 20 people, including two militants, were detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) in the last seven months in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, three civilians were killed and 41 were injured in various incidents of clashes and protests in the state during the same period. Minister for Horticulture, Hajj and Auqaf, Abdul Rehman Veeri today informed the Legislative Council that between March 2015 and 23 September 2015, the detentions made under PSA include two militants, three separatists, three stone pelters, seven Over Ground Workers (OGWs) and five habitual criminals. Nine drug peddlers have been detained under Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 during the same period, he added. The minister said three civilians lost their lives and 41 were injured in various incidents of clashes and protests in the State between March 2015 and 23 September 2015, adding 484 police personnel and 43 security forces personnel were also injured during this period.
