JAMMU, Oct 12 : Chandigarh lad, who is posted at RBI Jammu, Dheeraj Arora today lifted the coveted men's singles title trophy in the Jammu District Table Tennis Championship, organised by Jammu District Table Tennis, at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here. In the final, Dheeraj outplayed young Jayesh Singh, an Engineering student of Mahant Bachiter Singh College 3-1. The women's title trophy went to Jhanvi Pandoh, who trounced Shazar Sharma in straight sets. Executive Director, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. Northern Region -II Jammu, S K Sharma was chief guest, who gave away the title trophies as also other individual prizes. General Manager (GM), Power Grid Corporation, A K Pal and Joint secretary of J&K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma were guests of honour. Prominent among others present were working president of the Association, VK Magoo, general secretary, Ajay Sharma, Sheetal Gandotra, Sanjeev Gupta, Vishal Abrol, SP Singh, Satbir Singh and Narinder Singh. The finals were officiated by the technical penal including Satish Gupta, Meenu, Narinder Kour and Sandeep. The Detailed (final) Results: Cadet Boys: Manay Mansotra bt Rohan langer 3-1.
