Srinagar, Oct 27: Security forces today launched a search operation in the woods in the north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said here.
They said on a tip-off about the presence of militants in Sathri forest in Bandipora, security forces and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation.
Few firing shots were heard, they said, adding that the entire forest areas has been cordoned off and a massive search operation has been launched.
Details are awaited, they said. |
